You know what I miss from the 80s? Regular old non-special-needs taps. Where you turn it a little, and only a little bit of water comes out.

Push it again, and it’s off. Even the lowly flashlight is bent on ensuring that technology does not in fact make my life any easier.

When we updated our master bathroom, my wife found a replacement valve which gives you separate flow and temperature control for our tub. Now we can have a slow trickle of water to maintain the temperature while we soak our old bones.

My friends have internet controlled lighting in their home. On new years eve, half the people at the party could not work out how to turn the light on in the toilet.
