Remember if you are normally eligible to vote in UK general elections you will, for the first time, need photo ID to vote.
You can apply for a free "Voter Authority Certificate" if you do not have any other suitable ID.
Please check with friends and family to see if they are aware of the new requirement and help them if they need it.
Probably best to get in early.

  @raymierussell I think every responsible citizen should apply for this, whether or not they have existing photo ID. The requirement for voters to show ID is bad law, and we should deliberately overwhelm the system in silent protest.
