     @js This is great @crepels - esp on the quote post format for Threads vs Firefish. I think Misskey and Frendica also have quote post support - do you know what specific format they use?

     Misskey uses essentially the same format: a RE: ... in the content field and an additional quoteUrl field which points to the original message. (This makes sense, since Firefish is a fork of Misskey.)
     Friendica uses a slightly different format for the content field, but also includes a quoteUrl field.

     @crepels @js Thanks! I am putting together a document of each of the quote post implementations by servers and mobile app clients support hoping to help the Fediverse standardize.
