   A lot of people don't understand that all the big companies know that tech trends are super fucking dumb, they just play the game because it attracts outside investment and thus increases stock price: which is really their ultimate goal
   
   Microsoft will keep up the AI stuff until the endless tide of dipshit journalists and investors stop caring about it.
   
   These people are not stupid, they're just playing the game without any care for how their actions affect others.
   
   This is also why education is the key, we need to convince the general public that LLMs don't represent value to society,as we did with Blockchain.
