The U.S. isn't a democracy. It isn't a republic. It's an adversarial system based on the flawed social darwinian concept that when we are forced to compete society improves. Sounds like our founding fathers had watched too much Beyond Thunderdome.

You don't get to choose whether to endlessly struggle and compete against your brothers and sisters in adversity. You only get to choose how hard you'll struggle to make their lives shittier than yours.
