   @em it took what felt like ages to get tools using the XDG Base Directory Specification (e.g. $HOME/.config instead of a billion config files in $HOME), and then we went ahead and let the same problem persist in our code repos :/

     the codebase i'm working in has the following files in the root directory. each one is a configuration for a different tool? maybe? how would i know by looking at them?

     • package.json
     • project.json
     • workspace.json
