   The funny thing is it'll only strangle ML in America and other bullshit countries that care about copyright. In the rest of the world like China and Russia, ML will get plenty of investment.

     I dunno if it should be called "intelligent" just yet, but the cutting edge LLMs are a hell of a lot more than a photocopier. that's just a convenient narrative pushed by people who want to use copyright law to strangle ML
