@irie >Could someone born in Mordor, growing up with Mordian values and norms, living with and next to other Mordor denizens, could he gain sufficient self awareness of the depth of the evil ingrained in what he deems normal, remove himself from this matrix, and uproot the demonic seed from within?

A while ago I made a second X account as I had politics-fatigue. I decided to make it about a few interests that are mostly posted in and by Japanese.
Overtime the algorithm settled to japanese viral posts, illustrations, manga, and generally interesting stuff. But whenever an English post appeared I felt an uncomfortable dissonance, as if I'm about to be violated in some unnecessary form. Even the most innocent-seeming, well-meaning posts felt laced with psychological poison.
And it made me think. Is the West really the evil part of the world?

I find this image staring at me every time I'm exposed to (postmodern) Western culture.
