I also love it when people tell me, "... but North America is improving!!" That is totally true.

... but European cities are improving too, and many of them are improving faster.

So the gap is only widening.

None of this is inevitable of course, but I'm also not seeing the change in political will necessary to significantly change the situation either.

Maybe Strong Towns can pull it off.
