   Q&As after my recent talk make evident that those who don’t remember the web before platforms, tend to believe that for 10 years web users stared at their monitors in anticipation.

     @GIFmodel @triptych The thing I love most about all these is how utterly random and unstandardised the designs are. Yes, sure, all websites converging on similar design and information architecture is certainly best from a get-our-information-efficiently point of view, but it’s just so damn *boring*!

     I definitely miss websites being works of love and imagination.
