Conversation

A friend pointed out to me that the CDC stopped being about health decades ago -- the moment it became politically appointed by the President during Reagan's term. At that point, it was at the whims of politics far more than health and/or science.

And I immediately quipped, "Well, okay, so Reagan is the apocalypse..."

My friend busted up laughing, then said, "Oh. You know, you're right."

Then the rest of the drive was quiet.
