     @Mummabear prophecy is not the same as a prediction. If God has given you some kind of knowledge, that is prophecy. I used to go to an evangelical church and saw prophecy* all the time. It was usually interpersonal stuff. Sometimes someone would get up and say something to the whole church. But the prophets of the bible were given a word for the nation. There are plenty of preachers on TV doing that every day.

     @Mummabear The vast majority of prophesy, even the biblical ones, basically consists of "Repent! And follow the Lord".

     @Mummabear the dictionary would probably disagree with me, but yes definately. The whole idea of prophecy is that it is not a guess. It's information (usually about it the future, but not always) of divine origin. It comes directly from God and has 100% chance of being true. At least that is the idea.
