   I've been assuming Swedish vodka is made from potato, but it turns out most of them, including Absolut, are made from grains.

   en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karlsson… is a potato vodka. I'll have to try it some time.

   Still waiting from someone to make a turnip whisky. If Americans can make it from corn, Scandinavians can make it from a local traditional crop too!

     @clacke It’s a common misconception that whiskey is a good source of copper. You can actually get more copper from a turnip!

     @clacke @brie I'm not a vodka connoisseur or anything, but I keep the Luksusowa around for drinking, & Smirnoff 100 for making stuff (and occasionally drinking: it's extremely neutral).
