     @phaedral @dukepaaron First, I am going to address the settlers comment. In my circles it’s pretty much a given that we condemn the violence of the settlers. I am sure there are exceptions.
     Secondly, Hamas is the governing body of Gaza. They started the war with Israel. Israel has taken extreme measures to save civilians. Hamas on the contrary continues to endanger citizens, particularly minorities, and perform combat operations with them at arms length. Hamas is culpable for civilian deaths. 1/

     @dukepaaron Nonetheless, what Israel is doing, it is doing to Palestine, not Hamas. It's an opportunistic land grab, and it almost makes me ashamed of my Father and Grandmother, except I like to think they both would have denounced Israel's collective punishment and off-target response so clearly in service of further colonization and "settlements".

     @phaedral @dukepaaron That being said I don’t approve of Israel’s carpet bombing even though they have been taking measures to reduce civilian deaths. I don’t think Likud is even remotely interested in listening to outsiders about what they see as a problematic neighbor. I also don’t think Hamas is even remotely interested in peace. They have proven to be really bad at governing and are solely interested in killing all Jews. Letting them buy more time isn’t good for anyone. /End

     Can we just stop with the “indiscriminate carpet bombing” claims please. It’s strategically directed munitions at a government that uses civilian areas to protect its assets.
