   @jikodesu That's weird.

   With all the estimates as to when we're reaching 8 billion, it's clear population growth is actually slowing.

   The UN declared we reached it on 2022-11-15. The US Census estimated we reached it in October 2023.

   Now, it's 2024.

     The global population grew by 75 million people to make 8 billion by the end of 2023. The United States population will be 335 million people while the Philippines will reach 115 million.
