Bruce Elrick (virtuous_sloth@cosocial.ca)'s status on Monday, 01-Jan-2024 01:29:09 JST Bruce Elrick Piketty showed that capitalism drives inequality because capital consistently has higher growth than the overall economy.
Corporations align employees' immediate interests with corporate interests and corporate interests are legally fiduciary to the shareholder (ie capital), even when this goes against peoples' long-term interests.
This results in the corruption of democracy, resulting in the inability of society to deal with climate change, even when the majority agrees.
