   It's really sad how most discussions around education reform or improving it, even in edtech, revolve around improving access by just building more of the same carceral test-taking based systems, practices, routines as opposed to developing pedagogical innovation, creativity

   Nothing on building OER resources on teacher training, for developing a teacher's pedagogical creativity and other teaching competencies.

   Something on cultivating skill of coming up with fun exercises

     Higher ed is awash with this discussion. I mean, assessment is in the discussion, but it’s very much centered on what you’re talking about.

     I’d recommend The New College Classroom as a starting point, which will point you to further resources.

     Imagine if there was a nerdwriter like youtube channel that would do detailed reviews of interdisciplinary syllabi of various topics and pedagogies across the globe

     "This particular assignment along with this discussion prompt was interesting that it induces _______thinking"

     The reviews then could be supplemented with podcast interviews with the teachers who made really interesting assignments and then the whole thing can be converted into a workbook for teacher training.

     When is the monologue format of lecture going to change? Next century?

     Is there any place for a serious discussion around changing the format, modality, techniques of teaching, learning itself?

     Need to find a forum where there is 0 discussion on assessment, quantification, grading and solely dedicated to teaching complex technical concepts in unusual, fun ways.

     @impactology @dahukanna Yes, ungrading is great! New College Classroom mentions it, and many others; it’s a sort of a map of the current landscape.

     If you’re ever in MSP, come by Macalester and you can see what the CS program is up to. Our intro classes are…oh, maybe 15% lecture at this point, and that time is mostly just setup for hands-on activities.
