If there is one thing I wish folks would understand, it's that people in power don't actually believe what they say. It would save a lot of time. So much time is wasted trying to educate privileged people. Y'all. They're educated.

The way to tell the difference is to look at what actual policies and laws they are enacting, or fighting to enact. Do their actions align with what they're saying?

Literally, that's the only thing. Ever. There may be exceptions, but that's like 1 out of 50 politicians.
