   @Alan yea, It would have to be so embarrassing, as a modern Republican, to have to admit Republicans once supported, even fought a war, over the idea that blacks were equal human beings, rather than 3/5ths human chattel.

     Nikki Haley's omission of SLAVERY as the direct cause of the American Civil War wasn't - as the press keeps saying - a "fumble", it was a confession - of who she is as a human being.
