   A woman who was once prominent in the detransitioner community now opposes bans on gender-affirming care.

   Carey Callahan feels guilty at the role she played in a movement that is hurting both trans people and those who detransition. The Washington Post covered her story today, and I've got some of my own thoughts and analysis.

     @e_urq (Seriously, the rock-solid certainty of the commenters who were profoundly ignorant of the realities of trans kids. Like the one who confidently asserted that trans kids were at no real risk of suicide, they were just throwing a tantrum for not getting their way.)

     @e_urq I'm glad the WaPo ran this piece but the mainstream media is directly responsible for how deeply misinformed the public is about our lives and about trans kids.
