   I have often thought that the defining feature of #solarpunk is not the tech or the aesthetic but a focus on building healthy sustainable communities where all are welcomed and where we cooperate to build a better world. That feels very Star Trek to me.

   IMO this focus is what separates it from other #SciFi or Speculative works.

   A controversial point I’ll admit but my entry to the genre was not images or art but the fiction, writing, and philosophy.
