It's just a Monday.
Keep breathing.
It's just a normal Monday.
But also.
It's not.
People do gather.
Yes, they gather in dysfunctional constructs they call families.
But, no one invited us in a way that made us feel safe to attend.
They gaslit-invited us.
They knew we would decline.
Not choose to.
Need to.
They heaped the blame on us.
It's up to us now to feel abandoned and guilty at the same time.
That was their generous gift to us.
For their so-called celebration of love.
Or hypocrisy.

Anti. 🐘 (antiaall3s@chaos.social)'s status on Monday, 25-Dec-2023 20:47:00 JST Anti. 🐘 We try to make this day as normal as possible.
But we still cook something nice.
For our small unit of two.
We are at least that lucky.
So many are not.If this wasn't during an ongoing pandemic, our health and our lives not in danger, we would cook more food and invite people.
It's warm here.
The food will be awesome. We grieve for all the pain in the world.
For what could have been.
The wars that keep going.
The planet we destroy.
Our tears will drop into the food we wish we could share.
