     @georgetakei I agree with her. It’s akin to reading astrophysics to a 3 month old. They will still get to be around family as presents are opened and enjoy the sights and sounds but they don’t have object permanence so they won’t realize any of the gifts are for them anyway.

     @georgetakei I was told that there was nothing under the tree for me at 10 months. 69 years later that still stings. I was a low weight, premature birth, sickly baby. I am sure the vote of no-confidence on my survival was felt even if not remembered.
     Families create their own stories. Make it one you want to share.

     Buy the baby 3 dozen disposable diapers, stick a bow on them, and call it a day. A real win-win...And they will get used. They aren't cheap, either.

     And I had two babies, so I'm an expert.
