I have had to start telling people, straight up, that inviting me to #unmasked, #unsafe indoor events/gatherings that include a lot of strangers is showing me that they don't care about my #immunecompromised state or have listened to my valid #health concerns, that they lack #compassion for the fact my Dad died in June from #LongCovid & they're participating in plague spreading events - knowing people like me & my family are still suffering from public acting like #covid is over when it's not.

@ABScientist @msquebanh @ckkellymartin this often is misinterpreted, and yes, so we get those who believe in social darwinism and eugenics. Or royals and elites who never understood the lessons about small group inbreeding, too ;).

"Eugenicists only believe in this "survival of the fittest" nonsense because they erroneously assume they're at the top of the Darwinesque hierarchy."

@ckkellymartin @ABScientist It is called - eugenics, by government.

Yes, I see a lot of people who do not seem to mind killing others with their risky behaviour, because they had "underlying conditions" anyway. Obviously they themselves have perfect genes and exercise enough to never be in that category.

@ABScientist @msquebanh Definitely many neurodivergent people seem to recognize the threat covid represents and react logically. Another group is people with chronic illness or disabilities or those who have a family member who belongs to this group. But I feel like there's some other more elusive part of the equation too.

@ABScientist @ckkellymartin We are everywhere too. The important part is us being able to connect with our own community first & spread unifying relationships after or at same time 💗✊️❤️

I am also wondering what sets apart people who are able to resist this drive towards accepting all the deaths and disability. I thought it might be neurodivergence. It clearly is not the group who care about other things such as the climate or volunteering work.

@ckkellymartin Absolutely & should be pulled from work for violating oaths to protect the sick & vulnerable! I still put full blames on our governments - still employing dangerous eugenics style of Nazi officers in charge. #BCNDP

The problem is that it is everywhere. There is no country that seems to care about their citizens' health. And everywhere people simply accept that their health is being damaged. For what? Parties. Holidays. Festivals.

@msquebanh I'm sorry so many people are utter a-holes. I had no idea before the pandemic and feel naive for not realizing.I'm especially sorry about your dad passing from long covid. Good for you for being direct with people who are showing a lack of care - I feel like I need to do more of that.

@ckkellymartin Dad was infected in hospital last year & admitted for leg problems not related to covid. We kept him safe but hospital staff didn't. He got covid from being in area with active covid patients with zero protections. I blame #BCNDP #BonnieHenry #AdrianDix & ENTIRE BC NDP caucus who were fully unmasked during last year & this year's conventions. They're trying to kill us.

@msquebanh I'm so sorry. It's absolutely shocking the way so many HCWs have abandoned the idea of protecting patients. My mom caught covid in her LTC home early on and I was beside myself.
