     PSA: #WHO has designated #JN1 as its own #COVID-19 variant of interest and has recommended universal #masking in health facilities.

     “JN.1 appears to have higher immune-evasion properties” than its parent.

     I was at UW Medical Center Wednesday.

     Who was masked? All staff, nurses, doctors in the office.

     In the halls? POC and some White women. White men? Rarely.

     This is what I’ll be wearing in the classroom in January. It’s what nursing staff was wearing Wednesday.
