That'll be an end to the last minute shopping plan. Ach well. Never mind.

Mrs Cloudy (cloudymrs@mastodon.scot)'s status on Saturday, 23-Dec-2023 19:41:25 JST Mrs Cloudy @Helengraham I hope you get it fixed soon, but I don't get the dodgy supermarket fuel logic. If it is the fuel, would there not be cars abandoned all the way up the road in every direction? Those forecourts are busy places. Could it not just be an annoying coincidence of timing? Either way, looks like we will both be able to hit the Baileys early. 🙂

Helen Graham (helengraham@ieji.de)'s status on Saturday, 23-Dec-2023 20:58:18 JST Helen Graham @CloudyMrs I suspect because the car normally gets good fuel so much bad fuel (possibly watered down as Tescos have a bad rep for that we discovered ) has given it the car equivalent of indigestion.I guess most customers either have always used it so the cars are less likely to struggle,or more likely dont use it which seems to be what everyone we spoke to does,so its tourists and long haul customers who might not know the problem

Helen Graham (helengraham@ieji.de)'s status on Saturday, 23-Dec-2023 20:58:19 JST Helen Graham @CloudyMrs Pretty sure its the fuel ,we rarely buy supermarket fuel and the local fuel is excellent ,but we went an unplanned long drive and put in almost 2/3 of a tank ,Within a few miles we parked to let the dogs out,and the car wouldnt start,we got it started and got home ,next day it struggled starting and wouldnt restart when we stopped.Breakdown man said fuel issues and garage cant find anything wrong mechanically.Loads of locals said they or someone they knew had similar issues
