     okay so while my gaming desktop has pretty good built in audio, my laptop that I use to watch movies on DOES NOT and in fact sounds horrific. So I guess I'm looking for a cheap DAC/amp for that. I looked at "mid range" ones and they're like $3,000.

     @RustyCrab depends on what country you're in
     If us, you can get a schiit magni and an apple USB c dongle for 100 bucks
     The euro apple dongle is lower voltage and garbage
     Idk what the best value amps in Europe are
