As to the Colorado matter, the Supreme Court is going to lay a steamy legal turd right on Trump's head.
It's where challengers to the elite status quo go to die. If Trump had been a good little status quo lap dog like Dubya, perhaps the Supreme Court would twist their "states rights" crusade into knots to provide some specious rationalization as to why Trump wins. But, Trump ain't Dubya. He's the anti-Dubya, and he's not gonna survive this round.

Also, scotus knows there cannot be two "supreme" branches of government, and don't want to anoint their own "successor".

Trump himself, by being so incompetent, did so, too. And certainly Pence, simply by choosing to be his usual anal self on the one day it actually mattered most for him to be, too. That is irony.

Hitler, too, imagined that after he was gone the world would be grateful for him "solving" the Jewish problem, so I never considered the idea of him seeking that. Similarly there was no redemption in Pence, just a smug ass being a smug ass when it was actually useful for once. But in any case it seems cowardice rather than vanity ruled the day.
