   Started our annual read of The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper. We always read the first chapter out loud - it’s so intense and sets the stage for the following days. There’s a good BBC adaptation from last year as well: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/brand/w13xtvp7 #TheDarkIsReading #Bookstodon

     YES! Love The Dark is Rising. I had a really cool English teacher in 8th Grade who assigned it to us. Always has stuck with me. Finally read the whole series last year and I had so much fun.

     The BBC adaptation was wonderful. What did you think? Would love to see them adapt more of the novels.
