    PSA: President Biden has so far made 166 life-tenured appointments to our federal courts. Of those, two-thirds are women and two-thirds are people of color, including Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

    Representation matters. And when you’re voting, you’re also voting for the person who’s going to fill the courts.

      @CarlG @TonyStark

      Biden not nominating anyone to the Supreme Court is a counterfactual.

      Perhaps Clarence Thomas could find himself no longer a justice through retirement due to not wanting anyone to keep looking into his malfeasance and Biden could nominate a second in his second term despite the irregularity of stepping down while the other party's president is in power.

      Great news, but I only hope Biden gets the chance for a bunch more appointments in the next year, especially including SCOTUS and the crazy Fifth Circuit (has 6 Trump judges compared to 2 Biden).

      Biden is averaging about 57 appointments per year, pretty close to Trump's average 59 appointments per year.

      But Trump had 3 SCOTUS appointments, and if Biden ends up with none, he will join Jimmy Carter as the only president since the 19th century with no SCOTUS appointments.
