A study out of Boston Children's Hospital looked at youth with gender dysphoria who did and did not receive puberty blocking medication before being assessed for hormone therapy and found the group who'd received a blocker had less depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts than those who did not receive one.
This adds to the growing body of research supporting medical treatment for young people with gender dysphoria.
