Despite $215M Goldman Sacs gender pay discrimination settlement to 2,800 workers, the firm sent a chilling effect for future complaints:
- drug out the lawsuit for 13 yrs
- subpoenaed 5 companies that employed plaintiffs for perf evals & negative reports
The $215M figure won't persuade financial firms from cleaning up pay inequity and sexual harassment. As I told Susan Antilla, "The only thing that seems to stop employers dead in their tracks is public exposure."
