   Huge news in the #UX space: Adobe has been forced by EU and UK regulators to abandon its aqcuisition of Figma.

   Absolutely as it should be, this was clearly creating a monopoly position in the UX design tool market.

     Honestly I don't trust either of them. Well, obviously not Adobe, but Figma also actually wanted this acquisition. Anyway, I'm going to try and use @penpot in future projects in any team that's open to it.

     I'll probably ecounter massive resistance because Figma is basically the default tool of all UX designers these days, but it's time to stop locking ourselves into closed platforms.

     @jejip @penpot I've only played around with it out of curiosity, I haven't had the chance to use it in a project yet (the projects I was doing were already in Figma). But it has most of Figma's functionality, and I actually find the interface a little more intuitive than Figma.

     If you're doing advanced interactive prototypes it's a bit lacking there compared to Figma, but iirc it might have better handoff to devs than Figma.

     For wireframing and simple prototyping it's more than capable.
