   You would think that a resident living in the birthplace of hot chicken and dry-rubbed ribs would be used to the smell of BBQ by now.

     @DianaSez - Ceraunophile yes, there is that. I still have a healthy sense of smell, however, as a former artilleryman and paratrooper, I don't hear that well, without my bionic ears.

     I can barely smell anything, a genetic thing. But I can attest that I do prefer the taste of BBQ over money. But the smell of money will buy BBQ, so there's that.
