Kindly stop waving around Threads being here as kind of a moral absolute where if you don't agree, for or against, you automatically don't care about others. Either you "don't care about marginalized users" or "you don't care about making this place comfortable for more people" or whatever other variant.
Have your reactions, your emotions are absolutely valid, but please please please separate your reaction from judgements about other people's motives. Please.

But yes! Trans people fall _all over the place_ on these sorts of issues. It's good to listen.
That's part of the challenge though, right? There's no one canonical answer. It's hard. There's difficulty and nuance.
That's my entire point.
So have your reactions! Good or bad. Have your views! Whatever they happen to be.
But stop villainizing people who have come to a different place.
Especially when you do so using a group that THEY ARE PART OF AND YOU ARE NOT.

In a previous round of this discourse I had someone who is not trans say that they were "listening to trans people" and that's why they had their view. With the implication that I was not.

I wish I could even say this is _unusual_, since it seems to happen in all sorts of issues

Usually when I see someone say that it more often means "I had an opinion and then I found trans people who agreed with me"
