   OK, when #Threads federates with Activitypub how does it look like for the ordinary user? I know data scraping is a concern but do I suddenly get spammed by randos from Threads or will there be an uptick of trolls that I have to block?
   Or will people migrate to Threads because it's just more popular?

     @liztai You'd only see Threads users you follow - or that your friends do and boost.

     @tchambers @liztai I believe Liz is wondering whether she'd still see Threads users in her mentions if she didn't follow them.

     And would that differ if a server is silenced/limited vs full federation?

     @thatdosbox @liztai You would only see them in your feed if your friends followed them and reposted them to your feed. Or if you actively searched for conversations that threads users were taking part in.
