   Cryptography is only needed in Nostr because relays are many and not just one. The relay infrastructure precedes the need for keys.

The trust model of ActivityPub is based on URLs, so you cannot proxy an activity without having to trust the proxy. It would not be possible for Threads to gatekeep information on Nostr, which is probably why they're blocking it.
