   A: In short: Tell them to join Mastodon (or another ActivityPub non-big-tech compatible social media website). TLDR; #Meta (formerly #Facebook) and also the owner of Threads, #Instagram and #WhatsApp, is a big tech multinational that steals their data and fuck with their privacy. Therefore the community of your Mastodon server decided that they don't want Meta to steal their data and fuck with their privacy as well. If it are anti-capitalist friends, you can also tell them that capitalists shouldn't own your online (just as your offline) social life. They probably say that they already know this, but that the network effect keeps them over there. Better not push it from there any further. Some people are more sensitive for neoliberalism than others. 🤷🏻 Or you can move to mastodon.social. 🤔

     A: Let start with saying that you shouldn't say the letter X in the conteXt of 'social' media. Never adopt the language of fascists. Therefore I refuse to add a custom emoji of that hellhole. Just call it :twitter: #Twitter or :birdsite: #birdsite for short or something like the Fascist Mancave of Elon Musk or The Website Formerly Known As Twitter (TWFKAT). Oh and #Bluesky doesn't have a serious logo. You can always use this one: 🟦.
