     we're talking about a company that took 4 months to implement account deletion for THEIR OWN USERS

     I don't know who need too hear that but can we not give "benefit of doubt" or whatever bullshit to a company that, among other things :

     • actively fuels hate speech and genocide AND profit on it (e.g https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2022/09/myanmar-facebooks-systems-promoted-violence-against-rohingya-meta-owes-reparations-new-report/)
     • used its algorithm to experiment directly on hundred of thousands of people, manipulating their emotions, without their consent (https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/jun/30/facebook-emotion-study-breached-ethical-guidelines-researchers-say)
     • share(d ?) data to advertisers regarding insecure and vulnerable teens (https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/may/01/facebook-advertising-data-insecure-teens)
     • helped Cambridge Analytica gather the data of millions of people and resell it to people like Donald Trump

     They don't deserve our trust, time or sympathy.

     And don't tell me "it's okay you can block them" because even if I do that, some of my followers who don't will still boost my stuff and it will reach Threads eventually.
