     @lashman I've had two M-Audio keyboards die on me, but they were from ~2012, so I'll keep an eye out for these if their older gear was less destructible, thanks!

     @HauntedOwlbear M-Audio Keystation 88 Pro or Oxygen 88, if you can find either one since they stopped making those years ago, but they're still the best ones around

     @xavin oh that's exactly what I need. Plus I love Casio keyboards. They're indestructible. I'm using one from ~1990 currently.

     @HauntedOwlbear yamaha P series, I have the lowest end of the series (p45) and love it, skip the accessories pack they offer with them though.

     @HauntedOwlbear yeah, that's WAY after they stopped making the good ones :P and i can personally vouch for both of those, you absolutely won't find anything better in that price range

     @HauntedOwlbear the Arturia KeyLab 88 has worked for me; I don't use all the features heavily, but haven't noticed anything weird under Carla/Rosegarden.
