@Deus dunno about legal recourse. i’m sure they have covered themselves by burying the selling of our data somewhere in the t&cs.

also, to be fair, it just isn’t them. uber, domino’s, mygate, sharekhan all do this. even if none of them have a third party as ravenous as branch metrics. 12000 requests per hour is simply insane!

chief takeaway (heh) for me: enable duckduckgo app tracking protection on android and keep a separate device for such commercial transactions.
