   @Akari MG Ghost and Initial D have nothing in common really- I haven't actually watched / read it because one of the things that makes D -so- special is the extensive consulting work of Keiichi Tsuchiya (a legendary Japanese racing driver himself), and MF Ghost forewent that consulting and from what I've heard, really suffers from it.

   I might still check it out just to see, but the disappointment from the car / Initial D community was loud enough that I haven't had much interest.

   Wangan Midnight though is another one that's really worth checking out.

     @Miredly ooh I’ve watched the first season and really liked it! I actually haven’t checked out MF Ghost yet cause I wasn’t sure if it would spoil much from Initial D

     @Akari Absolutely happy to! On the anime side if you haven't watched Initial D, I really can't recommend it enough- it's an absolute masterpiece.

     @Akari @azelma Oooh, if you're watching Overtake and wanting to get in to watching actual racing, Super Formula is an awesome series that's a couple steps ahead of Formula 4 but similar in that it's much more of a driver-focused series than a tech arms-race series.

     It's less of a circus than Formula One for instance, and most of the drivers and teams are also active in SuperGT, which is my personal favorite racing series but has a lot going on which may be harder to pick up if you're just getting in to the sport. (I don't think Goodsmile has a team in Super Formula though)
