     #Threads work towards federation hopefully clarifies some things for orgs. My take, FWIW:

     - X is done for. Leave.

     - If you can, set up a dedicated Mastodon instance (you don't have to self-host), or other fediverse software of your choice.

     - This gives you full flexibility. You can choose whether to interop with Threads or not, regardless of what other fediverse servers are doing.

     - It also gives you independence from Meta. Putting all eggs in Zuck's baskets (FB, IG, Threads) is bonkers.
