They also have a mismanaged military called "The Star Fleet" with badmirals who love to break the rules.

But it's OK because they have space captains that keep things in check by ignoring the badmirals when it's entertaining.

"Threads" refers to the sometimes (suspicious) episodic escapades that ensue throughout the fediverse.
