Earlier today Facebook removed a post from last year about Mastodon. On Instagram I wasn't allowed to post because I had a link to my Mastodon account. Why all of a sudden would Meta care about what's happening at Mastodon? I can't seem to find anyone else talking about this.

Declared it Spam, then wagged the community standards in my face. I wrote a goodbye, set it public, pinned it to the top, closed the app and deleted it.

Patrick Johanneson 🚀 (pjohanneson@mstdn.ca)'s status on Thursday, 14-Dec-2023 05:48:07 JST Patrick Johanneson 🚀 @nddentico Whoa, I had a post from October removed for "spamming". I couldn't tell what it was -- I was tagging some local news orgs in it, but the full text wasn't visible. I wouldn't be at all surprised if I was suggesting that the news orgs might want to consider a fediverse presence, though.
Frickin' Meta.
