it's because if you don't talk about the broken eggs, you can't weigh the costs of the omelet versus the pros.

@sickburnbro unpopular opinion but... I think anarchists -then- were a completely different beast to the tranny faggots we see today.
Bombing Wall Street in the 1920s was probably based considering that financial jewry lead to the great depression.

@PonyPanda I don't think thats an unpopular opinion around fedi, maybe not super common.
I think some of the difference was that back then communists hadn't had a chance to try ruling, so they were much more animated about the possibilities.

@PonyPanda @sickburnbro I don’t think they were, but I think leftism had more spirit back then.
They were willing to wage a low-level war that would make modern terrorism look like nothing. I mean back in the day they assasinated heads of state. I think there was more belief in the ideas. Whether they were truly in their hearts evil or not is hard to tell looking back. I think a lot of them were more sincere even if a lot of their ideas were bad.

@Griffith @PonyPanda they were evil because they were willing to burn the world down to rule the ashes.
That's because they don't love people, they love "humanity" which isn't really a love because you can't love an abstraction, because part of what makes love powerful is the reality and imperfections.

@PonyPanda I mean, people want to ignore this, but the reason the Germans wanted the Jews deported is because they tried to destabilize their country AFTER WW1 and turn it into a communist shithole by a revooolutttion, and well, they kind of didn't want that.

@PonyPanda we make up lies because it makes us sound like some glorious good guys instead of the extremely morally complicated picture that WW2 is.

@sickburnbro There's a lot of things like this that I would learn about for the first time at like 25 years old and go "wtf why didn't I know this?" Weather Underground is another example.
