I had nil expectations of #COP28. So I'm not particularly disappointed.
Had it agreed what many hoped for, the declaration would have been voluntary, with no enforcement mechanism.
The real action lies elsewhere, particularly in richer countries, under pressure from campaigners and crisis events, dumping the economic model, degrowing, sharing, living with planetary means in every way.

Here are some tips, mainly for rich countries.
1) Stop trying to grow the economy & instead share the abundance.
2) Stop building unnecessarily.
3) Impose an annual declining cap on fossil fuel use: use fair rationing.
4) Stop subsidising fossil fuel industry.
5) Massive energy demand reduction programmes in all sectors
6) Protect & restore green spaces, especially peatlands, wetlands, forests.
... that's just for starters.pettter repeated this.
