   Honestly, I feel the age of #conventions and #conferences (at least in the US) is on its life support phase especially with the rise of direct events from companies and the more boring PR type events.

     What I do miss about #conventions and #conferences (should it go completely away) is that I'll miss the #networking, meeting people from my line of work, and building life-long friendships going to these events.

     Sadly, that period is coming to a end.

     @joeo10 Hm. It'll be interesting to see what CES is like this year.

     In my corner of the universe it actually seemed like everyone had decided the pandemic was over and it was game on for conferences and events again.

     @kadin CES will be fine since it's one of the very big ones.

     I'm sure gaming is likely going to heard there again. It's kind of ironic given that E3 was created in the first place because CES didn't allow games into their shows at that time.

     @ayrtonfreeman In the US? I can't see it since the big cons/confs are going to majority benefit from this shift.

     I know in Europe it's still going strong. Gamescom in Germany as a example is a very good run gaming con. It's more of a inclusive feel international ones in general.
