     @jamminjerry @brianhartgen I remember too well getting on one cabby's face because he grabbed the end of my cane, and to me, it felt like my space was being compromised, so I just lost it and screamed at him, telling him, "never, ever, ever, grab a blind person's cane like that!" His response was I was too saucey, just because I felt the need to stick up for myself and in a rather snappish way. And no, I felt no need to appologize.

     @brianhartgen @tinygirl I actually had a driver two years ago come from behind me and my son, and grab his arm, and start pulling him where to go. I must admit that day I wasn't very nice, as I spon in front of him, and told him don't ever grab my son like that ever again. my poor son started to get upset when he did that.

     @jamminjerry @tinygirl I count myself as being very lucky. If I have to take a taxi somewhere, which I do sometimes, all the drivers here are local and speak well, and they know the routes they are taking. It must be awful hard if you're blind, you are in an area you don't know, and you cannot communicate to the driver because he cannot speak English well. Frightening really.

     @tinygirl @brianhartgen I have actually had a couple lyft drivers tell me they didn't understand much english. oh great, and I am going to help you get to where we are going how?

     @brianhartgen I personally would feel embarrassed if I kept hearing someone telling me to repeat myself, or if I'm constatnly told I could not be understood. But, that's just me, I guess.
