   Just tried #Piped for #Youtube and I found it slower than molasses. Tried creating my account and uploading my subscriptions. Worked for about 10 minutes and then wouldn't load anything.

   Am I doing something wrong or am I getting a front-row seat for the deadly dance between YouTube and other front-ends?

     @seanbala @kavin I had trouble with #Piped too. The page showing the video would load, but I couldn't play the video itself.

     I'm back to using #Invidious instead. Works much better I've found.

     Thanks for the recommendation. I gave it a try but I found it also was buggy.

     The thing I really want (and loved in Piped) was the ability to organize subscriptions into channels and to sync them across devices.

     It seems I can do the second one on Invidious but not the first one. I think I can do both #NewPipe too but I want a web-based app I can sync between my personal and work computers.

     My Plan B is just to do New Pipe on my Android tablet and make that my YT device.

     @ChildlessBambino @kavin Thanks for the suggestion. Do you have any recommendations for an instance to try? Would you recommend looking for one based in a certain country?

     Also, "instances" in this case are different from Mastodon / Fediverse instances, right? Is it rather more like different iterations of Libgen?
